Blackphone working on Blacktablet

Blackphone , brand smartphone that promises to take seriously the privacy and security, would be developing a tablet that would be built on the same principles . The news comes from Jon Callas, chief technology officer for Silent Circle, a company that works with Geeksphone to produce Blackphone. He cited the CNBC that "we are working on a tablet," but quickly added that he did not share details at this time. However, he mentioned that the device would be aimed at the upscale market.

The tablet Blackphone - surely Blacktablet - PrivatOS use , the operating system that runs on the smartphone of the company. With the protection Silent Circle, OS mouth (in theory) all security vulnerabilities found in Android 4.4 on which it is based, while keeping your data private. There are also various tools to pass encrypted calls, send encrypted messages or browse the web private way.

All this extra security at a cost. For obvious reasons, PrivatOS does not provide access to Google Play, leaving the user the option to select an alternative method to download applications. Callas stated that "a large app store 'is an essential part of PrivatOS in the future, but because of the emphasis on problem prevention and data security, do not expect to have access to Google Play Store.

This can leave us wondering about the value of such a device, one can legitimately ask if there really was a market for a tablet-based security . The entertainment industry is a major reason to buy a tablet, and the same desire for intimacy on a smartphone does not necessarily apply to a device used at home to watch a movie. Price may also be a concern. The naked Blackphone costs US $ 630 and is not a high-end device. Callas indicates that Blacktablet be technically superior, and therefore may be more expensive.

A release date for the tablet Blackphone is not known, but with CES 2015 just around the corner, we could see the device in early 2015 .
