The idea is that Intel will provide a branch of Google Android for device manufacturers that is guaranteed to work with a certain set of components. So rather than spending time trying to find a transistor, scanner and other components that will provide support to the operating system from Google, you just have to choose from a list proposed by Intel and know that they operate without fear.

Intel says it will offer Android updates two two weeks after Google pushed new versions , which means that not only device manufacturers will still be able to sell the hardware with the latest version of Android, but they will also be able to provide software updates to customers who purchase their shelves.

Although the program could lead to a large number of Android tablets based on an Intel chip, the American company not only has the intension to provide a single reference model for the construction of a tablet. Instead, the company will enable tablet manufacturers to choose from a list of very specific components.

Intel will also manage the process of certification of Google Mobile Services for its partners, which means they will not have to spend money, not even waste time to seek certification to Google.

Intel already offers similar reference platform for Android smartphones and other products such as the range of laptops, desktops and tablets Classmate.

Intel expects the first devices to arrive in the market before the end of 2014, and manufacturers should be confirmed in due course.
