The company is now launching a series of four new Android applications that come all the project Microsoft Garage . These are applications that Microsoft employees and students have developed during their free time and are a bit experimental.
But some of the new applications could open the way for a marriage between Android and Microsoft, especially with applications that change the way to find information, launch applications, and view the information on your smartphone.
Next Lock Screen
Next Lock Screen is a replacement lock screen Google . As other third party applications of this type, it will display your appointments, SMS notifications, missed calls, and other data directly to your lock screen. In other words, you can see a useful glance information, without having to unlock your smartphone in the first place.
But Microsoft's solution will also allow you to perform actions on these notifications. You have added a conference call on your calendar? Enter the phone number to call, without having to unlock your smartphone.
There is also space at the bottom of the screen where you can organize some of your favorite applications so that you can launch directly from the lock screen.
Bing Torque
Bing Torque is a dedicated Android Wear application that lets you use the Bing search engine instead of Google when you use your smartwatch. More importantly, it allows you to start a voice search by turning the wrist, so you do not have to say the words "OK Google" in public.
Of course, you will still need to spell your search term, but you do not have to do free advertising for Google upstream.
Journeys & Notes
Journeys & Notes is a social and location-based app . Since its description in the Play Store suggests, store it in a newspaper where you have been, and be able to connect with other people who visited the same places.
Basically, there is a check-in application like Foursquare, leaving you free to file notes associated with places and see those left by others. For example, you can recommend the pie in a restaurant by the sea, or see if there is advice on the best view in a nearby park.
Voice Commander
The fourth application from brain Microsoft engineers Garage is found to be a game that combines real-time strategy and characteristics of fire.
Voice Commander is a multiplayer game that supports up to 8 different people. In addition, at any time someone can control the game using simple voice commands.
This game should arrive on Google Play Store soon.
