Microsoft is trying to attract companies to adopt its new operating system Windows 10 including a host of new features related to security, including two-factor authentication. The technology giant claims that the traditional method of application of a password is not secure enough, and may endanger the security of your device and can lead to data theft.

On a blog, the company responsible for the Microsoft Windows program, Jim Alkove, wrote that security has improved and is now a key element in the new operating system wondows 10 . He noted that security is central to many customer conversations he may have had since Windows 10 version of the Technical Preview was released.
"We believe that this solution will provide a much better identity protection since it takes a multi-factor security which today is limited to solutions such as smart cards and built directly into the operating system and the device itself, eliminating the need for additional security devices " added Alkove.
Windows 10 users will be able to register devices as a two-factor authentication , the other being either a PIN or a biometric input. Hackers will then have the physical device of a user and a right of access ( "credential" ) to access information. These could be either a key pair (a private key and a public second) generated by Windows, or a certificate issued to the device by the system existing PKI infrastructure.
Windows 10 will also include features to protect access tokens generated during the authentication process, and technology to prevent data loss will also offer protection to both personal and corporate data . IT managers will now be able to set up "app allow and deny lists app" giving organizations the ability to control which applications can access data from the company.
Companies have largely avoided Windows 8, and Microsoft certainly hope that these new features related to security will encourage policymakers to focus on some Windows 10 . If the new OS is expected to be launched by mid-2015, a program preview is already implemented.
