Storage on the cloud, mobile devices, desktop operating systems and even some versatile devices are just some of the main areas of interest of Microsoft in the future. As expected, its own office applications are another area that the Redmond-based company wants to evolve.

Microsoft Office, the popular desktop application with over one billion users worldwide, is expected to receive an update sometime in the next year. This deployment is not surprising and is consistent with the rumors that we have heard so far. In the past, Office 2007 was deployed in January 2007, Office 2010 in June 2010, and the latest incarnation of the office suite in January 2013.
Microsoft is updating its general application suite every two and a half years, as evidenced by the dates mentioned above. New information suggests that Microsoft has no intention of departing from the rule with his new album. According to Julia White, marketing director of Office and Office 365 lines, the company will release Office 16 in the course of the second half of next year.
Although the period announced by White is very large, this means that we could see more of Office 2013 in the month of July, or at the latest in December.
While no previous rumors suggested a launch in the spring of 2015, the development is perhaps past as we might have thought. Otherwise, maybe Microsoft is taking its time to incorporate some additional features in the future version. This choice is not surprising, given that the last three versions of the suite have all offered a new design. So far, the clichés leaks show only minor cosmetic adjustments, like a black theme option for Word and PowerPoint.
A support feature called "Tell Me" is rumored to make an appearance, providing users an easier way to ask for help. One can also assume that the software suite will highlight a host of improvements in terms of stability and closer integration with the various cloud services compared to what is currently offered.
In addition, Office will be launched alongside the latest Exchange Server and SharePoint Server updates, probably with a beta available next spring program.
