Dropbox and Microsoft announced today a "strategic partnership" to facilitate the work of people who use Office and Dropbox . In the coming weeks, the Office applications on iOS and Android include an integrated Dropbox to provide direct access to Office documents stored on Dropbox support. In early 2015, the Dropbox web interface and also the Office will provide mutual support for opening, editing and sharing.
In other words, the change will affect applications Office and Dropbox across multiple devices including smartphones, tablets, but also on the web.

The agreement includes four main parts: the quick editing of Office documents from Dropbox mobile application; Dropbox access to documents from Office applications; Dropbox sharing links from Office applications; and the creation of mobile applications Dropbox for Microsoft OS.
Microsoft may have made OneDrive more attractive, in particular by offering users unlimited storage Office 365, but the company recognizes that Dropbox is for many people, the solution to cloud storage of choice today.
