However, sources "familiar with the matter" mentioned at Android Authority that the G Flex 2 would make an appearance at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, and that it will be a "major update" compared to the first installment unveiled this year .
Apparently, this new version will offer an OLED screen with a much higher resolution than currently found in the G Flex (1280 x 720 pixels) and its frame would be smaller . The self-healing coating that is found on the back cover of the first game is also said to be back, and would be much better.
This is not the first time we hear about the G Flex 2. The last time the smartphone has been mentioned, we were told to expect a new 'unique', without having additional information thereto. Only time will tell if this is true, but since the first G Flex was launched in Korea earlier this year, it may be surprising to see launched outside his native country.
Smartphones with curved screens can take years to really break into the market. Samsung has recently launched a device with a curved screen, but it is completely different from the G Flex, since it only has a curved screen on the side of the smartphone, offering additional controls and shortcuts.
CES 2015 will start on January 6 in Las Vegas. I'll keep you obviously know as soon as we have something interesting on the successor to the LG G Flex.
