The company plans to offer models with screens 3.5 inches, 4 inches, 4.5 inches and 5 inches. Some models are only compatible with 3G connectivity, while others offer a support to 4G LTE.
Alcatel OneTouch will present its new smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week, where the company is expected to reveal more details about the specifications and prices. Although we do not know much about them, we can nevertheless imagine they should be very affordable smartphones.
What makes them so special is the approach smartphone OS. It's still a little soft focus how the choice of the operating system will work, but it is unlikely that smartphones will come with three pre-installed operating systems. However, we can certainly choose the one you want when buying.
An operating system that is not currently supported is WebOS. Despite the use of the name Pixi by the company (do you remember the Palm Pixi ?) and that the rumors suggest that the parent company Alcatel OneTouch is now the proud new owner of the Palm brand, the latest news Press makes no mention of any Palm device.
A watch connected "Watch" bonus
Alcatel also announced its first smartwatch simply named, Watch. Details on connected shows are slim, but we know that she will be able to connect to Android smartphones, receive notifications, control music and allow triggering remote camera. The images show a circular dial and a metal bracelet, but the watch is not running Android Wear. Alcatel says his first connected object will be affordable, but did not provide a price or a final version to date.
The all new Alcatel devices will be presented at CES 2015, and I'll keep you informed of news as soon as we have it.
