CES 2015 ZTE has the SPRO 2, the new portable projector

At the Consumer Electronics Show last year, ZTE has introduced an Android device that can be used both as a portable video projector and as a mobile hotspot. Last July, the Chinese manufacturer ZTE has launched the LivePro, version hotspot in the United States.

A few days after the announcement of a model Wi-Fi only version, ZTE has unveiled at CES 2015, the second generation of its smart projector SPRO . ZTE SPRO 2 has a touch larger screen, a high-resolution projector and other improvements over its predecessor.

The new projector from the Chinese company can project a screen up to 120 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels . In particular it has an auto focus, which will allow to have sharp images without too many adjustments. This ZTE SPRO 2 also embeds a bulb 200 lumens. By comparison, his predecessor maxing out at 100 lumens, and offered a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Android 4.4 KitKat is displayed on a 5-inch touch screen with a 720p resolution and has been reworked to facilitate access to the most useful applications. ZTE has also made ​​it simple to turn the projector: just drag three fingers on the screen to turn on, and the same gesture in a downward motion to turn off. Android allows you to take advantage of applications on the device itself and transmit them to the screen. You can also pair the SPRO 2 with your smartphone or tablet to send content from your mobile device to the projector.

On the projection, you can also read the contents of a micro-SD card, USB drive, or connecting a device with an HDMI cable or via WiFi connectivity without wire. In addition, this projector has the particularity to be able to support USB cameras, so you can use it to make video calls.

The SPRO 2 has a battery of 6300 mAh, which should provide up to three hours. The device measures 13.20 x 12.95 x 3.81 cm.

Oh yes, and as the first projector hotspot ZTE, the new model can function as a mobile hotspot . You can use it to share a 4G LTE connection with up to 8 devices.

ZTE indicates that the SPRO 2 will be available in the first quarter of 2015, but the company has not yet announced the price. The question is whether a French mobile operator will market it as a hotspot.
