Galaxy S6: an exclusive version of Snapdragon 810?

The Galaxy S6 Samsung could get a special version of Snapdragon 810 , especially if one believes one last information reporting that it would have been reworked to avoid the overheating problem that was raised during recent days.

Indeed, after the various concerns on the fact that the Snapdragon 810 could generate some heat, the Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung have managed to get a customized version of Qualcomm's flagship processor for the Galaxy S6.

Although it has no confirmation that this mysterious chip is designed to fight against overheating reported it a few days ago, it could still be a reaction from the chipmaker, facing concern South Korean giant set aside Snapdragon 810 in favor of its own Exynos chip for its next flagship smartphone.

If the Samsung Galaxy S5 is available in two versions, one with a Qualcomm processor, and another with an Exynos chip, this difference is that instead of being for the different markets in which it operates, and not on the intrinsic performance of one of them.

The traditional
Regarding the architecture of Snapdragon 810, it uses a core technology-based ARM big.LITTLE with Cortex-A57 cores for the power section, and Cortex-A53 for all needs requiring less power.

The company recently raised its intention to focus on the Snapdragon 810, and decided in particular to raise the overheating problem, saying the firm has decided to use the processor in the G Flex 2 without any fear. "I am aware various market concerns about the [Snapdragon] 810, but the performance of the chip is quite satisfactory. I do not understand why this would be a problem to include it in our smartphones " , said Vice President of LG, Woo Ram-chan.

Anyway, if the Samsung Galaxy S6 does not use a Snapdragon processor, it would be bad news for Qualcomm , particularly since the Korean company has relied on since the Galaxy S4.
