The Z1 also comes with a 3.1 megapixel camera at the back, a VGA front camera, dual SIM ports, and has Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and 3G. The smartphone is powered by a battery of 1500 mAh, and Samsung has shipped various features such as energy-saving mode Ultra Mode, which is a common feature for all owners of an Android smartphone from the company. There are also 4 GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a micro SD slot that supports cards up to 64GB.

There are also some useful features that come with Tizen. Users will be especially able to easily help in emergencies. The smartphone will come with a package of free applications related to entertainment, allowing users to access premium content on Samsung Club, with over 270,000 songs, films, etc.
If Tizen has long been presented as an attempt by Samsung to avoid dependence on Google and Android, the first incarnation of the operating system will not compete with its high-end devices. Instead, it seems to be a mid-range smartphone, which could have potential in emerging markets price sensitive.
That said, the Z1 will compete with a range of other smartphones based on Android. The question is whether the lack of compatible applications and services on the nascent platform, coupled with modest specifications, will attract consumers.

The Samsung Z1 will be available in white, black and red.
