With 700 million monthly users, WhatsApp is on track to reach the billion

WhatsApp now has over 700 million users per month.

Remember, in October 2013, the CEO of WhatsApp (not yet owned by Facebook) announced that its instant messaging application had surpassed the 350 million monthly active users, which placed at Twitter.

Now, several months later and after a buyout by Facebook for as much as $ 19 billion, the application already has more than 700 million monthly active users and is used to exchange more than 30 billion messages per day.

WhatsApp is already before Instagram but remains behind Facebook, which has more than one billion monthly active users. However, with 700 million monthly users, the chat application is not very far from the billion. And as the WCC of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, had mentioned it a few months ago during an intervention, there is the possibility with WhatsApp "connect 2 to 3 billion people" .

These figures are also encouraging for Facebook who paid a huge sum to acquire this giant of instant messaging as well as for investors from a number of social networks.
