LG has announced that one of the first smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 810 will start to be shipped as soon as March. For those unaware, the G Flex 2 is a 5.5-inch screen phone with a Plastic- curved OLED and Android 5.0 as the operating system Lollipop.
As the name suggests, it is the second member of the family G Flex and the new model has a faster processor, a screen with higher resolution, and other improvements.

The smartphone has a screen with a 1080p or 1920 x 1080 pixels, a rear camera 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and a laser autofocus and a front camera of 2.1 megapixels. In terms of connectivity, we will have the WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1, with 4G LTE and an NFC chip.
It has a battery of 3000 mAh capacity to charge to 50% in just half an hour, thanks to the fast charge. Under the hood, we will find 2 GB of RAM, 16 to 32 GB of internal storage, and a port for a micro-SD card to increase the storage capacity up to 2 TB.
What makes this so special smartphone (for now) is of course the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 810 . This is one of the first smartphones to have a 64-bit chip clocked at 2 GHz, which is an 8-core processor.
In terms of design, the smartphone will measure 149.1 x 75.3, for a thickness of 7.1 / 9.4 mm. In addition, the hull of the smartphone repairs itself in case of micro-scratches, and in just 10 seconds. It will be marketed in platinum silver colors.
Android Central recently published a study of the first version of the smartphone, and found that the scores of benchmarks are more or less good. However, this could be a software problem, and LG is said to work on a software update that will be published when the smartphone will be launched in key markets worldwide next month.
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona starts next week, and it is likely that we will see at least some other smartphone with the Snapdragon processor 810. But LG has been one of the first companies to advertise a product using the latest processor, and the G Flex 2 will probably be one of the first smartphones sold with this processor.
