Adobe has found that many of its customers are still forced to print documents to sign them, so one of the Cloud Document objectives is to "solve the waste and inefficiency associated with document processes" , according to the press release the company issued earlier in the week. This means that it has linked its electronic document signing EchoSign solution - now branded eSign service - as well as the services of management and control of documents, computers and mobile devices.
Part of this service includes a new version of the powerful PDF Generator Adobe Acrobat which is now known as Acrobat DC brand . New features include a touchscreen interface and a "magic" imaging feature that enables paper documents to be imported into a digital format. The interface will remain consistent on smartphones, tablets and PCs, to push a more standardized user experience than what is currently in place.
While Acrobat DC manages editing documents, eSign Services operates safely signature. This tight integration is a fairly clear attempt to compete with DocuSign, which has become the de facto standard for electronic signature PDF files. Those with a strong workflow based on PDF documents also appreciate Send & Track, which intelligently follows your documents, allowing users to keep track of who opened a document and when.
As with later Adobe Creative Cloud, the new service will be Cloud Document available as a subscription , which is however significantly cheaper. It will be available next month and will be priced at 14.99 dollars a month for people who have an Acrobat XI Pro subscription, or price of 12.99 dollars month for those with Acrobat XI Standard. For those who want to edit PDF files, but do not need the rest of the features of Document Cloud, Acrobat CD will also be available as a "perpetual" after his release.
The service and the new software should be available within 30 days.
