Microsoft bring Android apps to Windows 10

Nearly five years after its debut, Windows Phone is still suffering from a lack of applications. Very recent, high-profile additions like WatchESPN mitigated things, but the truth remains that the offers on app stores for Android and iOS outshine Microsoft's own store.

Microsoft has been working on ways to push Android applications on Windows 10 for phones , according to the allegations of Neowin , and many other blogs in the field of technology.

This is not the first time that Microsoft is looking at porting million Android apps on Windows Phone since rumors between 2013 and 2014 reported that the Redmond giant was testing, but that they are inconclusive . The lack of growth on its application store would have pushed Microsoft to go through this time, even if it means a potential drop in the natively developed applications.

A fault confessed is half forgiven?
Google allows other platforms to add Android ( sideload ). BlackBerry has used this process of sideload to bring Android apps on the BB10 platform, although this did not lead to growth on the platform.

Windows 10 will be a system to unify applications for smartphones, tablets and desktop computers, but it is not known how these Android apps will run on larger displays. Google has worked to make Android applications more usable on the big screens, but these tend to be 3 to 6 inches - and do not agree to 22-inch desktop screens.

Hopefully Microsoft Universal applications will work, regardless of the programming language. Both platforms have much in common in terms of development, but Microsoft closed source while Android is an open platform.

Microsoft has announced that it will use Android applications to strengthen the App Store, but we expect an announcement to be made before the summer. Considering that this is a stab in the absence of Windows applications, it will most likely an ad stealth, nestled in the patch notes.
