The mobile giant, based in Beijing, has become the "Apple of China" in reference to an extremely rapid expansion and increasing popularity, has partnered with the sports brand Li Ning to produce and market high sports shoes -tech. Li Ning has worked with Xiaomi Huami for its technology, which helped produce the Activity Tracker Mi Band last year.

Confirming this new partnership last week, Li Ning said that this agreement with Huami "is a result of [his] strength in smart handheld products" and promised to offer sneakers "affordable".

According to Reuters , the chips embedded in the soles of the shoes will automatically send data to the mobile application of Xiaomi , providing the user with information on the number of steps, its activity and general progress during his workouts.

The inclusion of such technology in sports shoes is not something new. If Nike tried inclusion with its Nike + sensor, Xaomi obviously wants his product to be a success, and therefore could highlight this new gadget alongside its range of connected devices.

Xiaomi has had a huge impact on the smartphone market in China, with a range of powerful devices marketed at reasonable prices. The manufacturer is preparing to launch an online store offering items such as bracelet connected, the Mid Band, and helmet, Mi Headphones. Unfortunately, there will be no smartphones sold. However, if the shop is a success, then we could see them coming to the shop.
