This parody of the recent smartwatch of Cupertino is meticulously well done. It includes a "digital Crown", which is the button in this device. The watch can display text, graphics and simple. It also comes with, not one, but two hard drives. Apple does not even offer that kind of flexibility on one of its mobile devices.

To achieve its goals, the watch is based on an Arduino compatible board Teensy 3.1 which integrates an ARM processor running at 72 MHz, and 64 KB of RAM. The screen is 1.8 inches and has a resolution of 160 x 128 pixels. Under the hood we find a 2W speaker, LEDs, a battery of 800 mAh, and a micro-SD card of 2 GB.
The user interface is used with the digital crown, just like the real smartwatch of the firm. When you turn the wheel, you'll be able to swing through the sub-menus, highlighting each line. Just press the button to enter the sub-menu.
By bringing up to date technology dating back 40 years, in addition to displaying the date and time, the main screen displays the following subcategories: fitness, photos, weather, music, the names and phone numbers registered in the directory, and a disk manager - although most of these features are not much more than show an image or text.

The tiny floppy disks were made using a high-resolution photo of a 7/8 inch drive, then they were narrowed, and printed on sticker paper. The chassis was printed in 3D, and has even been painted using the color beige computers in the mid-1980s.

Whatever one may hear the Apple Watch, this project is really impressive . Not only the watch comes at a time when everyone talks about the shows connected to Apple, but the guy has also built a tiny handheld (although very limited); based on the 40 years technology.
