Twitter finally correctly handles the slow motion video of the iPhone

If there is a way to brighten an otherwise dull moment, that's something to shoot in slow motion. Throw a plastic bottle into a recycling bin, drop a coin on the ground, or dive sugar in coffee, everything will seem much more interesting with some slow-motion (idle mode). And until you decide to share the video on Twitter. Indeed, the social network does not account for this mode, and will play the video in "normal" mode.

But this problem is now past, since Twitter will now allow to play the video in slow motion uploaded by users who have an iPhone , the company announced. If until now there were several workarounds that allow to correctly play videos in slow-motion, you're going to need.

Indeed, everything will happen naturally: just upload videos from your iPhone, and Twitter recognize the video in slow motion and will take care of the rest . As a proof of concept, Twitter has inserted a video in slow motion into the tweet announcing the new feature.

The slow-motion video was brought to the iPhone with the introduction of the iPhone 5S, which records a slow motion video at 120 frames per second. The iPhone and the iPhone 6 6 Plus go even further by doubling the rate to 240 frames per second, and passing the resolution to 720p. In other words, you can have video in slow-motion in excellent quality.

While there are plenty of Android smartphones that offer this feature, there was no indication that any model is specifically supported. The workarounds listed above may still be needed, but many smartphones are already taking care of converting video to slow to a more universally watchable format.

This is yet another improvement driven by Twitter on its social network.
