Instagram is planning to invade your mail box

Being young, attractive, and a social network in fashion is fine, but what if growth starts to slow down? If you are Instagram, you start sending emails to users who do not connect as often as the company would like.

TechCrunch spotted an email sent to users Instagram which aims to summarize the best ( Highlights ) your feed straight to your inbox . The idea is that you might be tempted to check the network more frequently if relevant information seems important.

Although this feature has not yet been deployed to all network users, Instagram has confirmed that this is a real feature and used by the platform. Whether or not the company decides to make it visible to a wider audience remains an enigma.

We'll have to get used to the summary
Like Twitter callback feature ("During your absence") indicating that you may have missed, the mail of the highlights Instagram is for users who do not spend all their time indoors the applicatio n. These can be a problem if you are a platform that is based on the opinions and user interactions.

Instagram now has over 300 million active users and an average of 70 million photos uploaded each day is. This is impressive statistics, but the pressure is always to keep the highest possible.

So do not be surprised if an email from Instagram suddenly appears in your inbox. This one will just try to boost user engagement. Hopefully if the feature becomes official capacity we will be removing it.
