Traditionally opposed to the opening of platforms, Microsoft released .NET Core Runtime for Linux and Mac users in a vision to expand its network of developers who are more comfortable using other platforms. Now developers can create applications based on the cloud that can run on multiple platforms instead of requiring developers to choose between Linux, Mac and Windows.
They are encouraged to start testing the new Microsoft .NET framework that can begin to eliminate bugs and security vulnerabilities.

Azure
Microsoft has updated its solution cloud computing , including the tool SQL Azure Data Warehouse , which allows companies to isolate the relational database cloud-based and unstructured data. The firm also added Data Azure Lake, which is designed to allow customers to store what Microsoft claims to be an infinite amount of data in its original form. This enables companies to analyze and process data from all sources including data machine to machine (term derived from English), sometimes abbreviated by the sign M2M, for analysis.

Microsoft also said that Azure is available in 19 regions, more than one million servers. Azure gathers over 90 000 subscribers every month.

All this adds to the 50 thousand billion objects stored on Microsoft's cloud for more than 425 million users. 40% of revenues for Microsoft Azure come startups and ISPs.

Docker
As part of its open source initiative, Microsoft has extended its partnership with Docker to allow open source developers to execute any document on the Windows platform Docker.

Docker is an open platform for developers and system administrators used to build applications. With the continuation of its partnership with Docker, Microsoft can now allow developers to mix and match Windows Linux containers with containers.
