Windows 10 Store: support for Android apps, iOS, Win32 and Web

This could soon change if developers begin to enjoy a new set of tools that Microsoft has made available to them. They will indeed enable them to Android Apps, iOS, Web and Win32 on the Windows Store.

This does not mean that all Android and iOS will be instantly available for Windows 10. However, it is now much easier for developers to port their applications. In fact, Microsoft says editor King has used these tools to bring the popular game Candy Crush Saga on Windows Phone, by making minor changes to the version for iOS.

Android and iOS
In short, the Android application developers can reuse much of Java and C ++ code for their applications, add the integration of Windows features, and submit their applications to the Play Store. Developers of iPhone and iPad applications can use Objective C - but not the recent Swift programming language.

The cause applications written for Android or iOS will dip into Windows features to display notifications, geolocation detect, or perform other functions, as they will essentially be performed as Windows applications, not Android or iOS.

Microsoft aims developers with new functionality, not the users. The objective is to facilitate the development of existing applications to the Windows Store rather than giving you the ability to run any old Android APK file.

Other companies have adopted similar approaches. BlackBerry lets Android application developers to push their apps on its platform, and Sailfish OS has built in support for Android. Unfortunately, none of these platforms has been a success.

While this may be a good idea to encourage application developers to bring existing applications for Windows, the question is how they will run on the platform, and feel that they will have on an operating system with a completely different look.

Web and Win32
The Web application developers can use their existing websites while adding support for subscriptions, notifications, and other features of the Windows Store - while keeping their existing server-side features.

And developers Wind32 Office applications may also make them available on the Windows Store - but they will be executed in an isolated environment without making serious changes to your Windows registry, with the sole purpose of being installed and uninstalled all as easily as the other Windows Store applications.
