A key dedicated to Cortana on all Toshiba laptops

Toshiba will make Microsoft digital assistant personnel, better known under the name of Cortana , much more tangible in its next line of laptops under Windows 10 . Indeed, the famous builder will pick a key that is dedicated to him . This feature will provide users with quick access to Cortana from their PC instantly to trigger a voice recognition command or be able to ask a question.

The Cortana key is placed in the upper left part of the Windows 10 laptops from Toshiba , near the function keys, said Jeff Barney, general manager and vice president of Toshiba America PC business, to PCWorld. Barney added that the feature would be included in all Windows PCs 10 of society, be it high-end models, but also cheap.

Adding a touch key Cortana will help alleviate potential problems triggering the voice that has been put together to Microsoft's PDA. This also means that users will not have to seek Cortana button on the interface, and click on it with their mouse to trigger it. Barney said the key ensures that "Cortana remains listening whenever you want".

A possible extension of this idea is to find an integrated Cortana button on a mouse, speculates PCWorld. He mentioned this idea to Logitech for more information about this, but got no answer.

As already revealed by Microsoft, the personal assistant Cortana is designed to compete with Apple's Siri personal assistant, or Google Now. It will be a major element of the new operating system that is currently in the final stages of development and should be launched on 29 July 2015.
Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will support at Cortana in his only event in its system desktop operating last January. In this demonstration, the company showed how Cortana on a PC would not be a simple port of the feature launched Windows Phone.

Further information will be available when you'll be able to get your hands on one of Toshiba laptops equipped with the key dedicated to Cortana. As always, I would keep you informed.
