The initial idea was to offer an affordable smartphone with hardware and software quality. The smartphone should be marketed in around 300 dollars (270 euros), and it had to offer a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, an octa-core processor MediaTek MT6592, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a front camera of 5 megapixels.
But the smartphone was also expected to be shipped with Cyanogen 11 OS , which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat, at a time when other smartphones are shipped with Android 5.0 or later. Instead of releasing a smartphone with a now obsolete OS, and we knew when it would be possible to upgrade to Android 5.1, Alcatel OneTouch and Cyanogen Inc. jointly canceled the project.
The customized version of Cyanogen is found on an increasing number of smartphones, but many of them are devices low cost sold in India and other markets. If you want to get hold of a smartphone with OS Cyanogen in the hexagon, your best deal is probably the OnePlus One. Ah, you can expect the OnePlus July 2 to 27!
