Since the release of the LG G2 there a couple of years, LG has focused on the sale of one or two high-end devices for most of the year. The strategy seems to have worked wonders for the G3 last year, leading the Korean firm to get some of its best sales ever recorded in the smartphone market. LG also sells a number of middle and low-end devices worldwide, and with the G3 they realized that users still enjoyed branding and design of their devices in the G series, even if they can not afford - or are not willing - to spend the amount requested for the G3 or G4.

A new set of reports have swept across the canvas, which claim to show yet another variant of the LG G4 . This would be of a much more affordable model, and known under the name LG G4 S . According to the minutes, and rumors that accompany it, which appeared on a Russian website , the LG will have G4 S a fairly similar look to traditional LG G4.
He also claimed that the LG G4 S will come with a 5.2 inch screen with a 1080p resolution. This screen is tipped to use the In-Cell touch technology to increase the screen response time. Under the hood we would find an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, and a rear 8-megapixel camera with autofocus laser. These are the only specifications that come with the image.

If these rumors are true, then the LG G4 S joins a growing list of variants of LG G4, which includes the largest G4 Stylus LG and the LG G4c Compact. Having another version of LG G4 seems a bit exaggerated, and could end up wearing some confusion for consumers.
Whereas the new flagships continue to cost a huge amount of money, it's nice to see LG offer an alternative which, at least on paper, does not seem too much to compromise. Of course, the price will ultimately determine the attractiveness of the smartphone.
