Microsoft temporarily suspend updates to Windows 10

Microsoft issued three new builds dedicated to Insider Preview Program Windows 10 members last week. This week, the company has released no, and if you have downloaded the latest version, you're in luck. Indeed, Microsoft has just suspended the availability of builds on Windows 10 for a little while.

Why? Simply because we are almost at the final product. Microsoft will provide Windows 10 manufacturers on 29 July and the company will start pushing its latest OS to these users some time later. Note that the typical feedback process is still in place, and the feedback will be used to ensure a smooth deployment to the rest of the world in a few weeks.

If you have got the build as a member of the Windows Insider program, the next version that you'll receive from Windows 10 will come from the branch of "production", rather than the industry "insider preview" you know so far. Microsoft did not comment on the possibility that there may be another update before July 29, but the company wants to test its Windows Update service, so you will not be able to download an ISO and make a clean install.

The final version arrives
The Insider members will be among the first to get the updated Windows 10, although people who buy a new PC after July 29 will also benefit from the latest version of the OS. Anyone running Windows 7 or later on their device, and which is registered to receive the free update, should have Windows 10 through Windows Update process thereafter.

So, is that it marks the end of Windows Insider program? No. Once the "final" version of Windows 10 released, testers will be able to leave the program and use the OS like everyone else, or always participate, to test new features before they are more widely available.
