Mark Schmidt, Chief Firefox Support, went on Twitter to announce the change. The news comes a day after the head of security of Facebook, Alex Stamos, spoke on the disappearance and the complete abandonment of Flash, because the plug-in is typically used to spread malware on systems users because of security vulnerabilities.
Three large Flash vulnerabilities have recently been discovered, and gigabytes of data have been leaked on the web. Adobe is aware of the problems, and mentioned that it will release a patch in the week.

However, web giants take the lead, and Mozilla noted that Flash will remain blocked until Adobe launches version that is not actively exploited by known vulnerabilities public . The company is also experimenting Shumway , efficient rendering based on HTML5 for the SWF format used with Flash files.

With a major blocking the default browser plug-in, there is no doubt that the Flash image may be tarnished even further - although the platform did not need that to prove that it is more technology on which we must rely. Despite its popularity in the 2000s, today Flash has become the most hated on earth software. It is now believed that the platform Adobe has become more a handicap than a fun way to browse and consume information on the canvas.

Hopefully this premise could announce the death Flash, to secure Internet, while saving the batteries of our computers.
