This invention seems well on track, as the Heineken firm decided to finance this project, which could ultimately save lives and change attitudes in the evening. This tattoo, called SafeStamp, has the distinction of being phosphorescent and ephemeral, so it changes color when you drank too much and that it is unable to take the wheel.

SafeStamp: a tattoo that saves lives at the exit of nightclubs, well done!

The two inventors of this Tattoo call Meghan O'Neill and Chennai Divya Seshadri and they explain that they have used the technology to measure glucose levels in the blood of diabetics. They have then adapted for this temporary tattoo analysis the alcohol level in the blood. A really interesting innovation that could save thousands of lives each year worldwide.

This temporary tattoo, which is actually a kind of adhesive decal chip type, is phosphorescent with a yellow tint easy to see even in the dark and hushed atmosphere of the evenings. As soon as one exceeds the permitted level of alcohol, tattooing passes the electric blue color and return to the bright yellow color, that once the threshold limit an alcohol is achieved again.

The SafeStamp tattoo would amount to less than a dollar

Heineken has decided to fund the project SafeStamp that the passage is an excellent marketing campaign for the alcohol distributor, as well as shows that he cares about the health of its loyal customers. The cost of tattoos is relatively affordable, since the chip would cost a little less than a dollar and as it is fun, it will be easier to sell custom tattoos incorporating the chip at the entrance to nightclubs.

Both students are not at their first attempt, since there is little they had signed a partnership with the lingerie brand Victoria's Secret, to integrate a chip capable of detecting breast cancer.
