Having multiple monitors greatly improves productivity, while offering you a certain freedom on the open applications. Nevertheless, this solution is essentially a component of the experience on a desktop PC, despite the growing popularity of laptops.

Nevertheless, the startup Sliden'Joy based in Belgium promises to change that, with an intelligent solution that will be available soon on Kickstarter. Laptops with dual screen like GScreen the Onkyo DX or Kohjinsha DZ-series, have been plagued by poor performance and had to face too many compromises. Others, like the Lenovo ThinkVision USB screen or AOC E1659 proved too slow (because they use a USB 2.0 port) or too large.
Sliden'Joy allows users to add one or two screens of 13, 15 or 17 inch laptops (other screen sizes will come in the future) for less than 200 euros . To fully benefit from two screens, one on each side of the main screen of your laptop, remember that you will pay 100 euros more or a total price of 299 euros.
Great potential
All screens are powered by a single USB 3.0 port, they are agnostic to the platform (work with PC or Mac), and they have an aluminum hinge with a rotation of 180 degrees and to close them carefully. Above all, they have a Full HD resolution, or 1920 x 1080 pixels. Users can snap magnetically Sliden'Joy at the back of the screen of their laptop, allowing to slide very easily.
The co-founder of the startup, Charlee Jeunehomme says that while the prototype of the company is fully functional, hinges and other components are still on the assembly line, which is why images of one unit found hinges 3D printed (rather than aluminum) and other temporary components. The final weight and the thickness depend on the size of the screen and the selected finish , but Jeunehomme indicates that the prototype is only 1.7 cm thick for the dual-screen release. He noted that it could become even thinner in the production version.
The team behind the project promises to have several finishes, including a version leather and wood. If all goes as planned, the product will start being delivered to the Kickstarter backers companion a period of one year.
Meanwhile, you can watch a demonstration of the device in the video below.
