Samsung Gear A: three models like the Apple Watch?

In all likelihood, and with multiple breaking rumors on the canvas for several months, Samsung will introduce a smartwatch with a round dial. However, new information surfaced suggesting it could come in three variants.

SamMobile reported that Samsung Gear A could be sold in three options, namely the Orbis S1, S2 and Orbis Orbis Classic . The possibility of a smartwatches trio could be attributed to three different internal code names (SM-R720, R730-MS and MS-R732) a Samsung source shared with SamMobile.

If the source is correct, it could mean that Samsung wants to use and "copy" Apple's strategy, which markets its Apple Watch in multiple versions. It would not be difficult to imagine that the Korean company intended to offer multiple versions of the Gear A, manufactured with materials, bracelets and different features.

Round, you said?
Samsung has slowly released official details of a new round smartwatch, which first started in May 2015 when the company released an SDK for such a device. The Korean firm has subsequently confirmed that the smartwatch Gear A would include a rotating ring that would have some different features, such as application selection and scrolling in it.

Unconfirmed publications also suggest that the Gear A will feature the Super AMOLED circular screen with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and an Exynos 3472 processor at the heart of the device. The smartwatch could also be equipped with 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a heart rate monitor, a battery with a capacity of 250 mAh, and a cellular connectivity (similar to the Samsung Gear S).

We could see the Orbis / Gear soon, since Samsung has scheduled an event Unpacked date, where we will see the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.
