Microsoft abandons the Astoria project to focus on the bridge between iOS and Windows 10.

In April 2015, at its BUILD conference, Microsoft unveiled its ' new plans to conquer the world " and among the things that the Redmond company has unveiled, there were two projects to facilitate the creation of applications for Windows 10 from apps to code for Android or iOS.
And if the bridge between iOS and Windows 10 is still under development, the Android (called "Project Astoria") was abandoned. This is what Microsoft announced in a blog post.
The Redmond says she has received many feedback indicating that having two bridges to carry the mobile apps codes on Windows "was unnecessary and that the choice between the two could be confusing" .
And after accounting for these returns, Microsoft has decided to abandon the Astoria project to focus on the bridge between iOS and Windows 10, called "Islandwood" .
