Environmental print, it's possible

  1. Environmental print, it's possible
  2. To ecologists papers
  3. Toners "green"
  4. The importance of recycling toners
  5. A printing measured
  6. The responsibility of the user

Printing and ecology are often perceived as contradictory. It is true that, by

definition, a printer uses paper uses chemicals in its inks and consumes

consumables (toner cartridges or ink) that are not directly réexploitables.

A good print management in general, and particularly consumable printers,

thus directly impacting the four pillars of modern ecology:

>> reduction of carbon emission (it is estimated that recycling reduces

cartridges 6 tons CO2 emissions each year, for example)

>> the preservation of forests and their biodiversity (consuming less and

      smarter paper and recycling it)

>> limitation of toxic materials and other heavy metals affecting the water

cycle (through research and development formula inks and making more

     autonomous and efficient cartridges)

>> waste prevention and waste minimization (managing impressions to use

less toner and recycling everything may be).

With 51.4 million sales of multifunction according to Gartner, the worldwide

leader in HP printers in 2013 exceeded the 200 million LaserJet sold

worldwide since its introduction in 1984. The manufacturer - in the 80s -

developed a long-term strategy for a more conscious of its environmental

impact printing. Manufacturer and was the first to be equipped with its own

factory cartridge recycling in 1997.

Since all manufacturers of printers and consumables followed the step and

adopted a proactive attitude to make and print cartridges (ink or toner) more

"green" . A further approach being adopted by manufacturers of generic

consumables.

But, as we shall see, even if manufacturers are fighting on all fronts, their

efforts are futile without a minimum of user involvement ...
