Kazam Android smartphones entry-level targeting new generation mobile users

Who says a smartphone was bound to be expensive and bristling with features that most users do not care about? Certainly not Kazam. Presentation of a newcomer to the world of smartphones.

Kazam, you said Kazam? Yes I said Kazam (and not Shazam), a new brand of smartphones that just launched on the French market. On Sino-British origin - which basically means that the equipment is made in China and the European headquarters of the box is in London to do a good evangelical marketing in old Europe and also sell mobile in the old Albion - new entrant in the market for manufacturers of smartphones is present in France since February 13.

His target: mainly operators' customers low-cost no-obligation, namely Free Mobile, SFR Red, Sosh or B & You, who have opted for cheap packages generally available without mobile, it remains the responsibility of the customer .

There was indeed a niche, and logic: if a customer opts for a low-cost operator, what is the relevance to buy a new smartphone side without subsidy which can cost up to 800 euros? Lying on the same market segment as Wiko Kazam meets this need by providing a range of smartphones with prices ranging from 79 to 179 euros.

For these prices, of course we should not expect state of the art, both in terms of screen resolution or with respect to the processor. But to have Kazam Thunder Q4.5 for a few weeks in test, I can say that the widget does well the job. The French range is available in 4 touchscreen smartphones running Android, namely Kazam Trooper 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 and 5.5, each corresponding reference you'll understand a screen diagonal, all under Android 4.2, so no quite the latest version, knowing that it is not planned to update immediately (as in machine language may want to say never).

On screen resolutions, perhaps at this point that the specifications are a bit limited by the standards we are used to is: Trooper 5.5, which has the best resolution, merely means 480 x 854, which for a screen of 5.5 inches (kind phablet) is right. For comparison, a Galaxy Note 3 provides a resolution of 1080 x 1920 ... but costs between 3 and 4 times the price of Trooper 5.5.

Processor side all appliances are entitled to a dual core clocked at 1.2 GHz to 1.0 GHz depending on model. Interesting little feature: all models feature a dual SIM slot which allows you to switch between two numbers or between two operators and two packages. Convenient to use personal / pro.

Related services: it is your screen will be happy
To place on a highly competitive market, Kazam setting associated services, with two major offerings: one free screen replacement in case of breakage for 12 months (for an extra 20 euros a Guaranteed response in 48 hours) and other remote assistance via an app installed on the phone that allows a maintenance operator to take control on it to help the client identify a feature or use an option. For the record, the application is used LogMeIn.

Prices, new services, smartphones which are rather well ... These ingredients be enough to make a commercial success Kazam? As I am not an expert in reading the future in chicken entrails I shall be unable to deliver a prognosis. See you in a few months to see if the mayonnaise made with the general public, clearly affected by this newcomer.
