Nokia wants to buy Juniper !!!

According to a German magazine, Nokia plans to buy U.S. equipment manufacturer Juniper Networks to strengthen its branch Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN).

According to the German magazine Manager Magazine Online , Nokia would consider the purchase of the U.S. network supplier Juniper Networks. Cisco rival would merged with NSN (Nokia Solutions and Networks), to establish a heavyweight in the field.

If Manager Magazine Online is based on anonymous sources, the site states that the head of NSN, Rajeev Suri , has crossed the Atlantic late last year to meet the leadership of Juniper and discuss a possible reconciliation. The subject had also been previously discussed at a board of Nokia .

It possible transatlantic agreement made following discussions between Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent , discussions were unsuccessful. 'Airbus' European networks has never left the runway.

Use money from Microsoft

American society, valued $ 13.7 billion, seems like a big piece for Nokia. Especially since Juniper has cash reserves ($ 3.1 billion) that would necessarily inflate the price. But the Finn has 9 billion euros of cash and could also take advantage of the money from the sale of its terminals business to Microsoft (€ 5.44 billion). The transaction with Redmond must logically be concluded during the quarter. In short, Nokia has the equivalent of about $ 20 billion to engage in shopping.

In 2013, Nokia had a turnover of € 12.7 billion, down 17% year on year. But the Finns signed on this year's return to profit (€ 519 million, including 420 from NSN) ... once removed the terminal activity called to be transferred to the accounts of Microsoft. Nokia is valued 20 billion euros.

For its part, on its last fiscal year, Juniper Networks has earned a revenue of about $ 4.5 billion (+7% yoy), for a profit of 440 million.
