Haswell-E: the first Intel processors office with 8 cores




On the occasion of the Game Developer Conference, Intel officially announced the Haswell-E processors.

In this range, there will be the first Intel desktop CPU 8 cores ever offered by Intel.

Intel was present at the Game Developer Conference and did not skimp on the ads. U.S. chipmaker 
reported on processors Broadwell or the fifth generation of Core processors . 

They were recorded in 14 nm (22 nm against current Haswell) and work together with future chipsets 9 Series Intel manufacturer.

But Intel also talked about Haswell-E ("E" for Extreme), future high-end Haswell variants. First, Intel announced that they will support DDR4 RAM and work together with the future X99 chipset .

Among the different versions to be launched, there will be variations to 8 cores , a first for Intel Core processors.

The Haswell-E processors will therefore first: first Intel desktop platform to support the public and first DDR4 large models incorporating 8 hearts. Without a doubt, it will have a well stocked purses to offer one.

It will also wait until the second half of 2014 to see happen.


The most impatient can turn to the processors code-named "Devil's Canyon" , of Haswell Core i5 and i7 , which can be overclocked, scheduled for launch in June 2014. Still they will not be compatible with current motherboards because work with Intel chipsets 9 Series.
