Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S5 would be a success. Its sales exceeded those of S4 for the same period.
When the Galaxy S5 was presented at MWC 2014 , we were a little disappointed. This was visible on the comments but also on surveys conducted by many specialized sites. One explanation of this mixed reception is the fact that the S5 has been much speculation, months before the presentation in Barcelona. Some hoped for a 64-bit architecture, other 2K screen or an iris scanner . But instead of this, we had the impression of having seen a Galaxy S4 improved.
From the beginning of the marketing of smartphone, we wondered if it would sell or not. And obviously, good coordination Samsung (simultaneous launches in 125 countries) and the strength of marketing opinions were right when warm. Indeed, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile, said that a month of marketing, the Galaxy S5 has sold over 11 million units. A For comparison, the Galaxy S4 has sold 10 million copies in the first month. Not surprisingly, it is in developed countries that sales were the best. Mr. Shin cites countries such as Australia, the U.S. or Germany.
In a previous article , we discussed the dismantling of the Galaxy S5 by IHS company who called the components of "recycled". However, this does not make the S5 a bad smartphone. Ultimately, it's all about perspective. If we take a point less technically (forget the processor speed, the density of the screen, or RAM) can be quite resistant to exalt smartphone with water and dust, with a superb NPC equipped with a fingerprint sensor, able to combine 4G and WiFi, and can operate for 24 hours with 10% battery remaining in a special mode.

This interview was also an opportunity for Samsung to let slip a word about the successor of Galaxy Note 3, which should arrive in the second half of this year. An executive vice president of South Korea stated that it could include a flexible screen. But at this stage, the plans may still change.
