Recently, the folks at SamMobile have managed to get hold of a handful of images of the purported Samsung Galaxy Mini S5, alongside the current flagship device . Taking a quick look at these images, we can see some information on the size of the screen. In addition, the same source revealed the full specifications of the device, as well as screenshots of various benchmarks .
Before turning to the specifications, here are some pictures of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Mini S5:
The Samsung Galaxy Mini S5 rocking a 4.5-inch screen sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the alleged Galaxy Mini S5 will come with a processor Exynos 3470 1.4GHz, coupled with a Mali-400 graphics chip clocked at 450MHz MP4.
There are 1.5 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a micro-SD, camera rear 8-megapixel photos and videos card slot and a 2.1 megapixel front camera providing the ability to record 1080p video. Other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, a fingerprint reader, a heart rate sensor, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, IR Blaster, an NFC chip, GPS chip with A-GPS support and GLONASS, micro-USB port and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The alleged device come with a somewhat similar to the Galaxy S5 design, but if you look more closely at the photos, there is no flap on the USB charging port. Does that mean it is not waterproof right? Well, the source of SamMobile indicates that its IP67 certified - it seems that Samsung has found a way to keep it sealed without the use of part of the port of loading.
There is no word on the launch of the device, but I will keep you informed as soon as it arrives.
