Microsoft prepares bracelet connected and not a smartwatch for autumn

We've heard rumors that Microsoft was preparing its own smartwatch, but it seems that this is not quite true.

Indeed, if Microsoft would be working on a connected device strapped to your wrist and waited for this fall, according to the latest information surrounding the portable device, it will be rather a bracelet dedicated to fitness, similar to what Samsung offers the Gear Fit rather than actual smartwatch.

As Gear Fit bracelet the Redmond company will probably be able to tell you the time and make certain features found on smartwatchs such as pushing notifications from your phone, but Paul Thurrott sources mentioned that the device could have more the form of a strap, rather than a wristwatch.

This is related to a previous rumor suggesting that the device will Redmond much thinner than that found on the market today - just like the Gear Fit that an elongated, while remaining slim shape - and of course in the form of a bracelet.

The device will make all the usual stuff to monitor fitness, including the calculation of calories burned, heart rate and other data also dedicated to fitness. Thurrott notes that what will really make a difference is Microsoft's effort to make its multi-platform bracelet, and it will work not only with Windows Phone devices, but also Android and iOS.

At least that Microsoft comes a little late on the market (again - but no later than Apple for now), it will give the company a strong selling point to push his device against those who start to embark Android Wear, who would be willing to see more devices emerge this summer - in fact, the LG G Watch is already available on Google Play Store, and the Gear Live Samsung also.

We can expect a launch in the fourth quarter for the strap connected to Microsoft, which confirms what we've heard for the month of October.
