The new Macbook is going to prove to be thinner, will apparently not replace the Retina display by the 13-inch screen that is currently found in the MacBook Pro. The current model is thicker than its counterpart Retina. In other words, the future system would be thinner than the MacBook Air with a thickness of 0.3 to 1.7 cm, and the MacBook Pro Retina which has a thickness of 1.8 cm.
This new model should be launched at the end of 2014 or early 2015 , with production of components began in small volumes, according to a relayed by those responsible for supply chain information based in Taiwan and relayed by Digitimes.
Apple sold 4.41 million Mac between April and June 2014, an increase of 7% from the previous quarter and 18% year on year. Of the sales, 80% of the devices sold are products of the MacBook, the sources said.
For now, there are no details about the other changes that could have the new MacBook Pro, but it is expected that the device comes with new processors and maybe more RAM than the version current.
Earlier rumors said that a MacBook Air with a 12-inch screen Retina would be in cartons of Cupertino. This is perhaps the laptop which refers Digitimes, since the device is rumored to be thinner than previous models and arrive with a new design.
Apple should be among the first to use the new chips from Intel Broadwell recently launched, that will build laptops without a fan, so much thinner than existing models. However, the limited availability of Broadwell chips can hurt Apple's plans.
Once we have a few more details on the new MacBook from Cupertino, including details when the device will be available, and its few specs, I'll let you know.
