This is a "virtual assistant" that uses human beings to answer questions.
If you have enough questions to Google Now, Cortana, Siri or S Voice, whose accuracy leaves something to be desired, be aware that there is another player in this field that would interest you.
While many technology giants are developing their artificial intelligence to get as close as possible (or even surpass) that of humans, Ooloo chose a different approach.
Indeed, they are real human beings, not computers that respond to user questions.
How does it work?
The user saves a question about their mobile device (which must be running iOS or Android). The question and the location of the mobile user are then sent to the Ooloo team to search for answers on the web and send them back to the user.
According to the BGR site, Ooloo currently has 50 members of his staff who will receive voice search queries and the correct answers on the web.
For simple answers, the wait would be a few seconds while for more complex queries, it is a few minutes.
Because they are human beings who handle requests, Ooloo can (theoretically) easier to understand them. Saved queries are stored and shipped in 24 hours.
Note also that the new service has been developed by the same company that launched the iDrive cloud service. Ooloo is currently free.
