But the Apple patent seeks to improve current solutions trying to abstract the various platforms, such as smartphones, tablets or laptops.
Going a step further, the design could provide a perfect solution for the mysterious device that Apple is currently developing with Comcast, who claims to be a sort of hybrid solution of a television service streaming would work with the Apple case TV. And of course, there is the legendary Apple TV, which the company has been working for a decade.
Whether it's a new device or not, users may see a digital remote control from concept to reality when Apple finally announce a renewal of aging Apple TV. Or, Apple could simply push a software update that includes the new remote control interface with its current Apple TV.
However, these concepts generally take a long time to switch from paper to the real world - they still need to be adopted. I would keep you informed of developments, of course.
