Microsoft has just released the Technical Preview version of Windows 10 . While it is not definitive that end up in the hands of millions of consumers version it would not be prudent to run it as your main operating system. In other words, either you can install in multiboot or run it in a virtualized environment, which is probably a better idea.

The process is very simple, just to have VirtualBox installed on your machine, and ISO Windows 10 Technical Preview.
To install Windows 10 in VirtualBox, launch the software and click "New" in the window manager. In the dialog box to create a virtual machine enter "Windows 10" as the name of the operating system. Select Windows 8.1 in suite - choose Windows 8.1 (64-bit) if you have an ISO image 64bit. Click "Next."
Set the size of the memory. The recommended amount is to be fixed automatically. On the next screen, select "Create a virtual hard disk now" and click "Create." Accept "VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image)" as a type of hard disk file. The hard disk storage allocated dynamically is recommended if you want the new virtual hard disk is dynamically changes (it will adjust to the size required). You can choose a fixed size if you prefer. The latter is faster.
Click "Create" and VirtualBox will do the rest. When finished, click the Start button in the manager. In the "Select the startup disk" window, click the folder icon and navigate to the Windows 10 ISO.
Click Start and Windows 10 should begin to install. Select your preferred language, then click "Install now" . Accept the license terms. Choose the "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)".
Click Next, and the installation process will begin. A restart will be required.
When done, you will be able to use the express settings, or customize the OS. It is easier to choose the first option. Sign in with your Microsoft account and finalize everything.
You will be redirected to the desktop after full installation, and one of the first things you see is the icon of welcome for the Technical Preview. Click it, and an Internet Explorer window will open with tips and tricks, and giving you access to forums for this new version.
If you want to resize the OS window, click "View" in VirtualBox and select the "fullscreen" mode or "scaled mode" .
The easiest way to stop Windows 10 when you no longer need is to click on the X in the upper right corner of VirtualBox and select "Power off the machine."
If VirtualBox encounters errors and fails to install Windows 10, the first thing to do is to make sure you are using the latest version of the virtualization software. It was not my case, and I had problems..
Here you parry to use the Start menu.
