Android Studio 1.0 Creating facilitated Android application

Google announced Android Studio at the Google I / O 2013, presenting it as a new IDE dedicated to Android developers, with the sole purpose of facilitating their application development. Today, after a few months to have wiped casts, listened uses of returns, the search giant has launched version 1.0 of Android Studio, leaving the word "preview" of its popular IDE.
If the decision launching a preview version was hailed at the time as a leap forward for Android development, the release of a stable version should provide developers with the skills needed to develop applications.

The new development environment is built on the popular IDE IntelliJ IDEA (Community Edition) Java, and offers both cosmetic and analytical improvements over its predecessor. Studio 1.0 Android in fact includes a number of new features such as intelligent edition code tools facilitating user interface design, or performance analysis tools and more.

Until now, Google encouraged developers to use the Eclipse IDE for creating Android applications. But with his own now stabilized tool, it is not surprising to learn that the Mountain View side is desired to migrate users to the new Android Studio environment.

In principle, the upgrade should work with your existing projects, but as in the past, this may not always be the case. A problem which translates to "Gradle project sync failed" is a change Gradle. If this happens, then check your Gradle file and replace "runProguard" with "minifyEnabled". The command has been renamed in the 0.14.0 release.
If you have not tried it yet, then it's possible that you are pleasantly surprised by Android Studio. Its main advantage is mainly the fact that it is a custom IDE for Android . The tools facilitate the construction of projects, and compilation. You should lose a lot less time than at present. It still has some rough edges, but it's the best way to develop an application that best fits all Android devices. Add to that the integrated support for Google services and you end up being lacking arguments to be rooted on Eclipse and ADT.

The stable version of Android Studio is available from this link . Google will launch separate channels for Android Studio , as it can do with its Chrome web browser. In other words, for those who like to be on the lookout for all the new and test preview, beta or nightly versions will be accessible to all.
