Assassin's Creed Unity enters history

Reliving history "with his great ax," is the promise of what Assassin's Creed Unity.

This first expression, paraphrasing the writer Georges Perec, sums up the experience through the newborn Ubisoft: a descent into violence and tumult of the French Revolution.

Assuming that you probably have not seen it with your own eyes, Assassin's Creed Unity is certainly the closest experience of the French Revolution that you can live.
Not just because of the gorgeous graphics that make the game and reality increasingly inseparable, not for careful breeding, almost across the monuments of Paris, nor for the thousands of hours of research conducted to provide a credible universe, but the alchemy of all these elements that project your body and soul in the past.

Assassin's Creed: terra (in) cognita

Slide the Assassin's Creed disc into the console, it's landing on familiar ground. As the seventh installment of the series (or eighth, depending on the place you give Snape in the timeline), we can not say that you are going to feel homesick.
It's a bit like finding your favorite drink after several months without dipping lips. You acknowledge flavor quickly, you find your place in a few moments, you know exactly which button to press to perform the desired action.
But as always, the new Assassin's Creed also has a taste of "terra incognita". Not just because of the new destination and a new era, but also for the myriad of welcome news. We will first consider the possibility of going down smoothly buildings and the new infiltration mode, the ability to enter a large number of buildings without loading times, and finally the multiplicity of approaches now available to make a killing.
The first Assassin's Creed for the new generation of consoles and proves the talent of the Ubisoft teams to constantly reinvent the franchise, to evolve and renew the interest of players.

Tumultuous beginnings

As tumultuous manner of the French Revolution, the output of Unity has not been smooth. The conclusion of this episode: a message from the CEO of Ubisoft Montreal / Toronto to apologize for the bugs encountered at launch.

We will not dwell on the subject: Ubisoft already expensive enough to complaints of the players who did not understand how a game of this caliber could come out with many bugs. The publisher has since corrected this with several updates to fix the problems and also made a nice gesture for the players (one normally paid content will be available free to all or game will be offered to those who had paid the Season Pass for such information).
In short, the result is there. If you now obtain Assassin's Creed Unity, you should not have major problems.

History

This Unity takes place during the French Revolution. First almost disappointed to see the action unfold in familiar territory (I must confess love the scenery of a game that introduced me to the other side of the world), the result is very pleasant. It is quite funny to final recognize buildings to browse a transfigured area and imagine how life could lead his short there is a little over 200 years, jumping from one roof to another recognizing the peculiar architecture of Paris rooftops.

For this Assassin's Creed Unity, you are in the skin of Arno Dorian assassin who saw his father murdered at Versailles. Taken under the wing of François de la Serre, Grand Master of the Knights Templar, it will be high on the side of Elise de la Serre, young woman for whom feelings quickly surpassed mere friendship.
We will not go further into the details of the story, anxious to let you find out for yourself what Unity and relive many key moments of the time (Bastille, etc.) and meet key figures of that time ( Mirabeau, the Marquis de Sade, etc.).

We love

- The most beautiful Assassin
- The new thinner infiltration
- The ability to enter many buildings (without loading time)
- New more fluid movements and natural (especially back down buildings)
- The streets full of life

We do not like

- The character that does as its head sometimes (again)
- Too high difficulty sometimes a little frustrating
- A few bugs

Conclusion

Assassin's Creed Unity is unequivocally the best of the series. The new game engine works miracles introducing many welcome improvements. But if Unity comes not betray the franchise, inherent defects in the series are still present, maneuverability being so perfect, until the character suddenly decides not to do his own way and get you killed stupidly.
There is no denying Unity is a worthy successor to the series of Assassins ... even if it is valid as well for what you love ... for what you hoped to see disappear with time.
