For example, you can answer a phone call while holding the ear, switch to speakerphone mode by placing the smartphone face up on a table, or mute the microphone by placing it face down on a flat surface.

The application Gestures Beta uses the accelerometer and proximity sensors in smartphones supported to recognize where the smartphone. Microsoft plans to add support for more gestures in the future, perhaps allowing you to interact with your smartphone without touching it - something you can already do on some Motorola smartphones, Samsung, and other.
The application currently supports the Lumia 535, Lumia 730, Lumia 735 and Lumia 830. It has also to limited support for the Lumia 530, 630 and 635. It is therefore only available for mobile devices on Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1.
According to Pocket-Lint , the technology giant could test the application before it is finally released the Windows 10 operating system for smartphones . It is interesting to note that it was envisaged that Microsoft presents this year a similar gesture in that it provides for Kinect in Windows Phones devices.
It was also mentioned that the future Microsoft's flagship smartphone, called McLaren have a gestural support allowing users to browse the smartphone without touching the screen. The sources close to Microsoft plans have added that this new feature is called internally 3D Touch or Real Motion, and was developed by Nokia.
Microsoft also updates Glance for you to view your wallpaper on the unlock screen.
