Real Iron Man may soon join the ranks of the US military

An admiral of the Navy revealed some additional information on TALOS, the combination that will transform men into super soldiers.

The United States may soon have their own over-equipped soldiers with the Tactical Assault Suit Light Operator (literally Combination Lightweight Assault Tactical Operator). This super armor is mostly known for TALOS or Iron Man Suit. The Admiral William McRaven Navy unveiled information that tells us more about this combination: three prototypes are currently being assembled and should be delivered by June 2014.

TALOS program

To date, tests will be conducted and a first functional system could be created in August 2018. It should be noted that the versions shipped in 2014 will not be energized and therefore provide a real basis for research. The TALOS project is far from being a mere whim of the US military: 56 corporations, 16 government agencies, 13 universities and 10 national laboratories collaborate around this program. "  This combination, if it goes ahead, will bring a revolutionary improvement in the survival and the ability of our special operators. "William McRaven.

Armor 2.0

Specifically, TALOS What will? Sorry for those who believed but not the combination will not fly or shoot laser beams. It will provide primarily a protection for the wearer with an exoskeleton energized, like a sort of armor of modern times. The second important point: the sensors and detectors capable of identifying hazards and preventing the wearer.

The army is always the first to innovate in technology, notably through the massive funding it receives. This super-combined and super-soldiers who wear shows, once again, that science fiction novels often end up becoming reality. According McRaven, TALOS could provide a net benefit to the US military. When will the arrival of cyborgs?

Note: illustrative picture we do not really know what TALOS look.
