CES 2015: TCL gets to Quantum Dot for its Ultra HD TV


TCL manufacturer has used the trade fair CES 2015 to present his new TV screen with Quantum Dot technology displays saturated colors and offering a wide colorimetry, 55-inch TV 55UA9806.

On its booth at CES 2015, TCL TV sets 55 inches capable of displaying Ultra HD images. Equipped with all the electronics needed to plug all possible sources, this panel also uses the Quantum Dot technology.

It promises the emission of primary colors fully saturated and supplying 100% of the color gamut (color space) in order to obtain the smoothest possible gradients. 

According to the manufacturer, this technology would achieve similar performance to those offered by OLED technology in terms of color rendering with LED displays manufacturing flexibility. 

The optical components are developed by QD Vision company, specializing in Quantum Dot technology.

Besides the image, TCL has not forgotten her since 55UA9806 TV is also equipped with a Harman Kardon audio system signed a power of 30 Watts.

TV 55UA9806 will be available in March for about € 1,600 under the Thomson brand.
