CES 2015: Toshiba unveils tablets Encore 2 Write Windows 8.1

Toshiba Japanese brand has taken advantage of CES in Las Vegas to present its new range of touchscreen tablet running Windows 8.1, Encore 2 Write declined in 10 and 8 inches.

Responding respectively on behalf of WT10PE-A to 10-inch version of WT8PE-B for model 8 inches, the two touch pads Toshiba Write Encore 2 are both supplied with a TruPen stylus for taking notes, draw or perform other creations. The pen was developed in collaboration with Wacom, one of the leaders in this field. According to Toshiba, it offers a very large drawing comfort and enables smooth writing that approximates the experience offered by a real pen on paper. Its tip is pressure sensitive. In addition, it benefits from a specific storage within the tablet to be easily carried anywhere.


Both Toshiba Encore 2 Write tablets have the preinstalled TruNote application with Office 365 Personnal (available for 1 year for free) that can recognize handwriting and turn it into an editable text thereafter.


Technically, the two tablets on board an Intel Atom processor Z3735F, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. They are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and WiDi compatible. They embark on the back of a camera 8MP and another 1.2 Mp front. There are two speakers and the system is compatible with Dolby Digital Plus. According to Toshiba, they offer up to 8:30 autonomy.


Toshiba Version 2 more Write WT10PE-A is based on a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, has a micro USB port, a micro HDMI output, a slot for a memory card Micro SD (up to 128 GB) and an audio jack. It measures 258,8x175,1x9 mm and weighs 557 grams.
