Google Ready Cast speakers allow you to cast audio content from your smartphone.

After Chromecast and Android TV Dongle, Google unveiled Google Cast for audio. This new product incorporates the technology used by Chromecast in speakers, the sound bars and AV receivers.

Like the Chromecast, systems that integrate Google Cast for audio allow the user to "caster" content from a device running Android, iOS or from the web to them. If you are not familiar with Chromecast, this video will help you possibly understand.

As Google explains in his blog post, "Google Cast Ready speakers take the content directly from the cloud, so you get the best audio quality [...]".

This also means that as a priori it is not a question of mirroring, you must use applications compatible with the system. Among them you will find Deezer, Google Play Music, Pandora, Rdio, and TuneIn.

As the first speaker to be "Google Cast Ready", they should arrive in the US this spring. Brands like Sony, LG, and HEOS by Denon are cited.
