Both tablets have a dust resistant frame and moisture, and provide support for an optional stylus - which is designed to work with capacitive touch screens. However, the stylus is not pressure sensitive. HP includes a slot in the shelf for this pen. So while the stylus is sold as a separate accessory, at least, it is clear that the HP Slate Pro 10 EE and EE HP Pro Tablet 10 are designed for use with the stylus.
Both models have a 10.1 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, an Intel Atom Z3735F processor, a quad-based architecture Bay Trail chip, 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage. In terms of connectivity, you will benefit from Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 and an NFC chip.
In terms of design, you may notice large screen edges, which is not surprising since the tablets are designed for use in a classroom, where durability and location of the stylus is more important that a slender frame.
The model with Windows 8.1, the HP Pro Tablet 10 EA will ensure compatibility with existing applications that you use in your classrooms, and can be managed by HP Services for Schools, School Pack HP and HP Classroom Manager, which are essential solutions for all directors of an IT park. If the HP Slate Pro 10 EE G1 is almost identical physically, and has similar components, it runs Android 4.4 KitKat, the operating system from Google. If your school has standardized Android applications, this may be a better choice.
