Android tablets clearly flooding the market these days, but a new startup called Jide hopes its new tablet will stand out from the competition through a set of high-end features designed to help you with your business needs.
The tablet Jide Ultra Tablet runs a custom version of Android called Remix OS , which is designed to look like Windows . There is a taskbar, support for running applications in resizable windows, and a theme that looks a lot like Windows 8. Ah yes, the tablet is much like a Microsoft Surface.
As to features, the tablet has a 11.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 2 GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage, expandable with a micro-SD port. It has a battery of 8100 mAh, and Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

It comes with a keyboard cover which has a thickness of 5 mm. It also can act as a support, and which is connected to the shelf via magnets.
Jide hopes to sell the Ultra Tablet at around $ 349 and should be launched in the second or third quarter of 2015.
Although the tablet hardware looks decent, but rather banal, the operating system is what makes this so special unit. Jide was founded by three former Google employees, and while Remix OS is a heavily modified version of Android, it offers support to the Google Play Store and other applications of the technology giant.
Currently, Remix OS is based on Android 4.4, but the team plans to update the OS to Android 5.0 in the future.
